The first Caspian Economic Forum in Turkmenistan

Turkmenistan began detailed preparations for the First Caspian Economic Forum to be held on August 12, 2019 in the Avaza National Tourist Area in Turkmenbashi, Turkmenistan. It is quite symbolic that the date of this first in the history of the great Caspian forum coincides with the Day of the Caspian Sea.

Implementation of measures for the comprehensive preparation and holding of the first Caspian Economic Forum is in accordance with the Concept of the Forum approved by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Organizational and analytical work is concentrated at the Coordination Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, created by the decision of the President on December 14, 2018, at a meeting of the Government of the country.

The Forum consists of three parts: the International Conference, the Caspian Exhibition of Innovative Technologies and the Contractual and Legal Part.

The upcoming event is intended to provide a powerful creative impetus to economic, trade and investment cooperation in the Caspian Sea and in the surrounding regions, transforming the Caspian Sea into one of the largest transport and transit nodes of international importance that will play a major role in shaping the new geoeconomic space in Eurasia and will meet current global trends. .

Delegations of the Caspian states, including heads and members of government, heads of coastal regions and heads of regional executive authorities, representatives of the banking sector and business circles of the Caspian region and interested countries, scientists, as well as heads of companies that carry out the activities of the Forum are invited to participate in the Forum. economic activity in the Caspian Sea. Delegations of other interested parties, in the first instance, close to the Caspian region of states, as well as representatives of international economic and financial organizations, are also invited to the Forum.
