Due to infrastructure development, Odesa Oblast is the second largest in Ukraine in terms of construction

Odesa region ranks second among Ukrainian regions by volume of construction works - 2018 results. This was made possible by road repairs, building engineering and port infrastructure. This was reported by Director of the Department of Economic Policy and Strategic Planning of the Odessa Regional State Administration Dmytro Radulov.

"The region's share in the total construction work in the country has almost doubled - from 6% to 11.2%. Such indicators are record for the region during the years of independence. In particular, during the year 2018, the enterprises of the region carried out construction works worth more than 15 billion hryvnias, out of which 10 billion were directed specifically to infrastructure development ", - said Dmitry Radulov.

It should be noted that the share of engineering structures in the total volume of construction reaches 69.6%. According to Dmitry Radulov, at the moment the enterprises of the region for the production of building materials work at full capacity, since they have orders for several months in advance.

Recall that in 2018 in Odesa region 190 kilometers of roads were repaired, and in the next three years it is planned to restore another 800 kilometers.

During the report on the results of 2018, the chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov set priorities for future repair of roads, tourism and social development, including the construction of medical, educational and sports facilities.
