Vitaliy Svichinsky met with representatives of the Australian and British Embassies in Ukraine

Today Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration Vitaliy Svichinsky met with the Deputy Head of Mission and Consul of the Australian Embassy in Ukraine Tim Bologotnikoff.

The main issue for discussion was the specifics of the work of medical institutions in the region, in particular, with regard to citizens of foreign countries.

Vitaliy Svichinsky spoke about reforming the health care system in Ukraine and emphasized that the goal of the reform is to ensure equal access to quality medical services and to rebuild the health care system so that its center is a patient. In general, it is the introduction of a state-guaranteed package of medical care, the implementation of the basic principle of the medical reform "money is for the patient", the autonomy of the providers of medical care and introduction of the e-Health system.

"Foreign citizens who have a health insurance policy are provided with all kinds of medical care, and the mechanism for obtaining them analogues of vital medicines for the appointment of a doctor works", - assured Vitaliy Svichinsky.

Tim Bolotnikoff noted that Australia and Ukraine are partnering with each other. Representatives of the delegation were interested in the practical process of providing medical care to foreigners and stateless persons who are permanently residing or temporarily staying in Ukraine.

Oksana Rokunets-Sorochan, the Deputy Director of the Department of Health of the Regional State Administration Oksana Rokunets-Sorochan, said that Odesa Oblast became one of the five oblasts where the purchase of modern transport and equipment is planned as part of the pilot project.

It should be noted that the new telemedicine system, which Odesa Oblast launched first in Ukraine, received a positive response from doctors and patients. Recall that the main feature of the new system - the remote recommendation of specialists on the results of the research.

Director of the Department of Investments, International and Interregional Cooperation Eugenia Volynets thanked for the cooperation and assured that the regional state administration is always ready to respond promptly to unpredictable situations. Accordingly, to facilitate constant communication between the RSA, medical institutions and diplomatic institutions.
