Special Commission to Investigate Causes of Fire at Tokyo Star Hotel
Today, under the chairmanship of Vitaly Svichinsky, Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration, a special commission meeting was held to investigate the causes of the fire at the Tokyo Star Hotel and to assist the families of the victims and victims.
“Every step and action in investigating this tragedy, in addressing the consequences and in taking measures to prevent such emergencies is important. The primary issue for us is to assist the families of the dead and injured, ”Vitaly Svichinsky stressed.
During the meeting the issue was heard about the progress of the investigation of the case by law enforcement agencies, about conducting preventive work of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Odessa region with the purpose of preventing emergencies in places related to the provision of temporary accommodation services, as well as providing assistance to the families of the victims and the victims of the reserve fund.
It should be noted that in order to investigate the causes of the fire that occurred at the specified hotel on August 17, 2019, and to assist the injured orders of the acting Head of the Regional State Administration No. 1000 / A dated August 19, 2019, a special commission was formed, which included representatives of the National the Police of Ukraine, the State Service of Ukraine for Labor, the Regional State Administration, the Odessa City Council and the prosecutor's office of the region.
We emphasize that this commission was formed to create the conditions for an objective and impartial investigation into the causes of the tragedy, to provide assistance to the families of the victims and victims and to inform the public about the progress of the investigation.
