Meeting with the command of the British ship HMS "Echo" took place in Odesa oblast administration

In Odessa, with a friendly visit, the hydrographic ship of the Royal Naval Forces of the United Kingdom "Echo". On the first day, the planned meeting of the delegation led by the commander of the ship was held by the 2nd rank captain Matthew Warren with the deputy head of the Odessa regional state administration Svetlana Shatalova.

"We are very pleased to welcome HMS" Echo "in our region. I would like to thank the present and the British Ministry of Defense for the support of Ukraine and further increase of educational, consultative and advisory assistance. This is NATO's first warship, which has entered the Black Sea with a direct wording of the purpose of the visit, which is associated with the Azov crisis. It is extremely important to us that the United Kingdom and the Royal Navy are in a timely manner implementing bilateral agreements between the Ministries of Defense of our countries and providing real support. We value it a lot, "Svetlana Shatalova said.

The parties discussed the general situation and peculiarities of the martial law, in particular, in the Odessa region. Svitlana Shatalova confirmed that the security measures are really intensified, but this does not affect the daily lives of Ukrainians. "We share the principled position of the Head of State: the military situation should be minimal for citizens and not foresee significant restrictions of rights and freedoms", - she added.

"It is extremely important for us to express support for the whole of Ukraine. And our visit is in this context. We are glad to be here. In the future, we will also support Ukraine in the long run. Thank you for the hospitality, "said the captain of the 2nd rank Matthew Warren, commander of the ship.
