The Odesa Regional State Administration held a coordination council on social support of the population

The Odesa Regional State Administration held a Coordinating Council on Social Support, where they started considering applications for one-time cash assistance. The commission consists of representatives of the departments of social and family policy, health care of the Odessa Regional State Administration, the State Service for War Veterans and participants of the ATO, public organizations, as well as members of the Standing Committee of the Regional Council for Health and Social Protection.

During the meeting of the Coordinating Council, the amount of this assistance was determined at the level of subsistence level for people who lost their ability to work - UAH 1,497.

At the first stage, 1121 appeals were considered, of which almost half of the members of the commission were satisfied. The total amount of payments will be 826.3 thousand hryvnia. The council also decided to refuse 569 applicants because they did not meet the criteria defined by the Procedure.

It should be noted that the right to receive assistance is made up of persons from war veterans, war participants, children of war, other categories of citizens who are least socially protected at the state and oblast level, and their aggregate income in a month does not exceed 2500 hryvnias.

The second issue of the agenda of the meeting is the provision of material assistance to people who are in a difficult situation due to unforeseen circumstances. The council reviewed 63 such appeals, five of which were sent for refinement. According to another, a positive decision was made for the total amount of 1595, 2 thousand hryvnias.

The Department of Social and Family Policy of the RSA emphasizes that the funds will be provided as funding flows.

Recall that the chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov has repeatedly emphasized that social payments to the most vulnerable categories of citizens will not be stopped. This is an approved component of the comprehensive program "Social Protection of the Population in the Odessa Oblast for 2018-2020".
