The Odesa region has increased monthly payments to ATO participants and the families of those killed

In the Odessa region, the amount of financial assistance has been increased to the participants of the anti-terrorist operation in the East of Ukraine who have received a disability. The order on the allocation of funds was signed by the chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov. In addition, the monthly payments will be renewed to families of dead soldiers captured or declared missing.

"It is about realization of directions of the regional comprehensive program of social support for the population for 2018-2020 years. In recent years, monthly payments to certain categories of citizens are carried out systematically. And in 2019 most of them managed to increase. For example, in comparison with last year, payments to ATO participants with disabilities, their children and the families of those who perished increased by 25-50%, "said Lilia Kovalenko, Director of the Department of Social and Family Policy of the Odessa Regional State Administration.

It should be noted that a monthly scholarship of up to UAH 1500 will be received by persons with disabilities from the number of military men, volunteer soldiers and law enforcement officers who participated in the ATO, as well as their children under the age of 18.

Financial assistance in the amount of up to 2,500 hryvnias is provided for families of those killed, captured or declared missing persons.

Earlier, the chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov emphasized that the regional budget-2019 is focused on social development. Therefore, the financial document provides for guaranteed payments, education, health care, culture and small and medium-sized businesses. All this corresponds to the priorities of its Strategic Action Plan "Intelligent Region".
