Thirty recipes for borscht, Ukraine's culinary record and performances by star guests. This was the inter-district championship of borsch in the village of Velyka Mikhailivka, Odessa region. It should be noted that this is the first such championship in Ukraine. Conducting such thematic festivals is an integral part of the development of gastronomic tourism in the region.

"30 teams from different regions of the Odessa region compete for the title of the best chefs in the preparation of this dish. In addition, today another record is set by Ukraine - the largest borsch tree, which consists of 49 ingredients used in various borsch recipes. It was recorded by the representatives of the Ukrainian book of records ", - said the deputy chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Serhii Koleboshin.

The prepared dishes were judged by the jury, which included, in particular, professional cooks. Participants prepared traditional Ukrainian borsch for branded recipes and even surprised viewers with ingredients. For example, you could taste borsch with "ears", with beans or quails. In addition, there was a fair on the territory of the championship, where residents and guests of the championship were able to taste other Ukrainian dishes.

Recall the development of tourism - one of the priorities of the Strategic Action Plan of the chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov "Intelligent Region" in 2017-2019. For this purpose, various areas of tourism are developing in the region: gastronomic, cultural-cognitive, ecological and recreational.
