Representatives of local self-government greeted in the Odessa region. The honorary certificates of the Odessa regional state administration to the workers of village, settlement, city, district, regional councils and OTG were presented by the chairman of the Regional State Administration Maxim Stepanov.

"Local self-government is one of the most effective institutions in the state. What makes people's lives better each day? I'll say more - you make it better. These are quite specific things - new schools and kindergartens, roads, street lighting, sports grounds. Your work gives results and is reflected in the lives of tens of thousands of people. I want to congratulate you on the holiday and, above all, thank you for your work. Inspiration for you. And always let the forces move forward! "- Glad the chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov welcomed the present.

He noted that in four years since the start of the decentralization reform initiated by President Pyotr Poroshenko, local budget revenues grew almost 3.5 times. At present, their share in the consolidated budget of the country is 52%. For example, in the Baltskaya, Bilyaivskaja Mayakovskaya OTG average income per capita increased by 1.5-2.5 times.

In addition, the village chairman of the Avangardovsky OTG Serhiy Khrustovsky received a thanks from the Prime Minister of Ukraine for his significant personal contribution to the development of local self-government, the provision of socio-economic and cultural development of the region and the development of the infrastructure of the village.

Recall that the Day of Local Self-Government is celebrated annually on December 7, according to the Presidential Decree of November 25, 2000.
