The Emergency Department, with the telemedicine office, has begun work in the Baltic Regional Hospital. This is the fourth such branch in the Odessa region.

"The first department we once opened in the windows. It was then that President Poroshenko initiated a reform of rural medicine. During this time, we have positive feedback from doctors and patients on telemedicine and the work of the ehergency department ", - said the chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov.

Approximately 3.8 million hryvnias were spent on the arrangement of the emergency department. Of these, 2.5 - from the regional budget (for the purchase of a digital X-ray machine), the rest - from the local (for repair of premises, furniture and equipment). So there is a cabinet of ultrasound diagnostics in the department, a small operating room, a viewing room, and a room for medical staff.

In the telemedicine office, the necessary equipment is installed and operated, so that if necessary, it is possible to consult primary physicians or consult with leading specialists from Odessa.

In case of necessity, the residents of the Baltsky District, which is the center of the hospital district, but also the citizens of Kodimsky, Lyubashevsky and Savranskyi districts, can receive medical care in the department. At the same time, such an ehergency department will be open there too soon.

During communication with medical staff and patients, Maxim Stepanov said that the Odessa region participates in a pilot project on emergency medical care reform. "As a result of the project, we will acquire 130 fast and up-to-date fleet cars. And we have to transfer five cars for the Baltic, Kodim and Savran districts, "he said.

After that, the head of the Regional State Administration Maksym Stepanov transferred six mobile-diagnostic complexes for institutions of the primary level of the Baltsky district. Thus, FAPs and outpatient clinics will be able to coordinate on-the-spot diagnosis based on the performed surveys. That was the key idea of the reform of rural medicine, which was initiated by President Petro Poroshenko.

It should be noted that on the basis of the Baltic CRP also there is a reperfusion center, which serves 8 northern regions. In 2018, his doctors saved 320 patients with cardiovascular disease.

Recall that the Emergency Department together with Telemedicine is currently working successfully in Mayaks, Oknah and Bolgrad. The development of medicine is one of the priorities of the Strategic Action Plan of the chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov "Intelligent Region".
