In the Odessa region, the cadastre compilation of vineyards is at the final stage

Creation of a database of land plots that can be used to lay up future vineyards and maintain their cadastre in the Odessa region at the final stage. This was announced during a speech by Ivan Petriv, Head of the Agrarian Policy Department of the Odessa Regional State Administration, at a conference on the occasion of the EU project "Support for the Development of the System of Geographical Values in Ukraine", which was held in Kyiv.

"This project is relevant not only for Ukraine as a whole, but also for the Odessa region, in particular. Its realization will make it possible to popularize wine-growing and winemaking production of our region and give it access to foreign markets. Currently, the study and creation of a database of land plots that can be used to plant future vineyards and their cadastre is complete. This is the way that many countries have gone to protect their product. And budget support of the branch will stimulate our producers to build new perennial plantations ", - Ivan Petriv emphasized.

It should be noted that the EU project "Support for the development of the system of geographical indications in Ukraine" is being implemented for wines, agricultural and food products from 2017 to 2020. Its purpose is to search and establish geographical indications, since they will be able to reflect unique traditions, cultural heritage and history of Ukraine.

Geographical Indication is a designation used on goods having a certain geographical origin and having properties, reputation or characteristic features predominantly due to this place of origin.

For reference. Vineyard cadastre is a specialized, well-organized database that is periodically updated and contains a set of information and documents on such data: the legal status of land plots, the identification of each land plot in the area (geodetic coordinates), environmental conditions for the cultivation of grapes (relief, soil conditions and microclimate) and Quantitative and qualitative accounting of grape plantations (a grape variety and a fork, a scheme of planting, formation, assessment of the state of planting).
