In the Odessa region will conduct a hydrological survey of the Kuyalnitsky estuary

In Odesa region, nearly 3 million hryvnias are allocated for the hydrological survey of the Kuyalnitsky estuary. The corresponding order was signed by the chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov. In particular, it is planned to carry out research works on hydrological, hydrochemical, hydrobiological and medical-biological inspection of the Kuyalnitsky estuary and seawater from the Gulf of Odessa.

"According to the results of these studies, we will receive current findings on the state of water in the estuary at present. Such monitoring measures are carried out regularly to monitor the dynamics of changes in natural properties of water and maintain them at an acceptable level ", - emphasized the acting director of the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Odessa Regional State Administration Alexander Oleryanin.

The research is foreseen by the regional program for conservation and restoration of water resources in the Kuyalnitsky Liman basin for 2012-2018.

In addition, 1.3 million hryvnias will be directed from the regional budget to develop a working project for clearing the river of the Great Kulyalnik River. This document will include the first stage of the necessary clearance - an area of about 30 km. This is necessary because the river flows into the Kuyalnitsky estuary and provides a constant inflow of fresh water, creating a natural balance of river and sea water.

It should be noted that the initiative of the chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maksym Stepanov on the granting of the status of the Kuyalnik to the state-owned resort was unanimously supported by the Committee on Family, Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism and recommended that the Verkhovna Rada adopt the relevant bill on the basis and in general.

Recall that in April, Chairman Maxim Stepanov appealed to the leaders of the factions of the Verkhovna Rada on the adoption of the bill "On the announcement of the natural territories of the Kuyalnitsky estuary of the Odessa region a resort of state importance." In June, the project was registered with the VRU.
