In Odesa region, bought another school bus for children with special educational needs

A new school bus was purchased in the Arziz district of Odesa region. This vehicle is fully adapted for the safe and comfortable transportation of children with special educational needs.

"For the last two years in the region, the number of classes where children with special educational needs are studying has increased almost sixfold. And the creation of modern and convenient infrastructure for them is a time requirement. Thanks to the educational subvention from the state budget, the Artsyzsky district bought one such bus ", - Alexander Lonchak, Director of the Department of Education and Science of the Odessa Regional State Administration, emphasized.

It should be noted that the cost of a vehicle is more than two million hryvnia. Its design includes a special lifting mechanism.

"The body of the bus is a bit longer, with a reinforced rear suspension: the springs and pneumatic pillows provide a smooth steady movement on different roads. In the cabin there are two seats for carts. If desired, they can be converted into soft passenger armchairs with armrests and seat belts ", - told in the Arzizsky district state administration.

Oleksandr Lonchak added that the procedure for purchasing a special bus for Kuyalnitskiy OTG is currently being completed. And this year there will be a number of purchases in different regions of the region.

Recall that in May 2018, the region joined the national project on the development of an inclusive educational environment. First lady Marina Poroshenko and chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov signed a memorandum on the creation of a network of inclusive-resource centers (IRCs). Together with this, dozens of new groups for preschoolers, psychological unloading rooms and media studios are already operating in the region.
