Inter-sectoral working groups have been established at the Odesa Regional Coordinating Council on Family, Gender Policy, Prevention of Domestic Violence and Trafficking in Persons. They are intended to strengthen the board's activities, bringing together experts from different structures and organizations. In particular, the representatives of the RSA, the bodies of justice, social and medical services, law enforcement, psychologists and representatives of public organizations included.

"Issues of gender equality, counteraction to domestic violence and trafficking in human beings require an integrated approach. In order to achieve positive results, the interaction of different structures and organizations is required. Thus, four inter-sectoral working groups have been created. They brought together experts who will analyze the situation in specific areas, as well as prepare decisions and develop regional program projects. Our goal is to create a system of protection and services that will bring trust to the authorities and the police, so that the person is not afraid to tell about his problem ", - said the deputy chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Vitaliy Svichinsky.

The heads of district state administrations and OTGs joined the Coordination Council in the on-line mode. They discussed the mechanism of provision of social-psychological and legal assistance to people affected by domestic violence and trafficking in human beings, and the organization of informational and educational work among schoolchildren on issues of domestic violence prevention and bullying. At present, it is planned to develop a draft regional program "Implementation of gender equality, prevention and counteraction of domestic violence and counteraction to trafficking in human beings".

Recall that the Coordination Council of the RSA on issues of family, gender policy, prevention of domestic violence and counteraction to trafficking in human beings was established in December 2017 by order of the head of the region Maxim Stepanov.
