"Blue Flag" is raised in Odessa region

On May 30, 2019, for the first time in the history of the program in Ukraine, the Blue Flag received the Gulf Coast near the Ruta Family Club Hotel.

It is one of the world's most well-known voluntary eco-labels, an environmental certificate issued to beaches in Europe, Africa, the Caribbean, as well as New Zealand and Canada, based on the decision of an independent international jury on their compliance with the criteria of the Blue Flag program criteria. To date, this quality award already has 45 countries of the world. Only those beaches that meet almost 30 criteria receive this certificate. In particular, such as water quality, public awareness, security and service.

The presentation of the certificate of the international program "Blue Flag" was attended by Oleksandr Shek, Head of the Department of Tourism, Recreation and Resorts of the Odessa Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Sheka, Head of the Board Victoria Radchenko, Modest Alejev Program Coordinator, representatives of the NGO "Ecological Initiative" and national program operator in Ukraine.

"The beach of the Zatoka resort is listed as an international tourist organization recommended for a visit. Information on safety and compliance with environmental standards will significantly affect the attractiveness of the Gulf for recreation and development of both internal and external tourism in the region as a whole ", - said Alexander Sheka.

Note that on May 31, 2019, the Blue Flag will for the ninth time receive the municipal beach of the Black Sea, and on June 1, the Caleton beach in Odessa and the beaches of Zanzibar and SunDali - Sun Yard in Fontanka.
