In the Odessa region, the creation and development of agro-ecological clusters in the countryside was discussed. The event was part of the project "Pilot Implementation of the Agri-Ecological Clusters for Sustainable Development in Odesa Oblast". The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Regional State Administration Svetlana Shatalova, Head of the Department of Agrarian Policy of the Odessa Regional State Administration Ivan Petrov, representatives of business, local governments and academics.

"Creation of clusters in agroindustrial complexes is an advantage for all branches, including primary agricultural producers, processing enterprises, trade enterprises, etc. Currently, the project "Agro-ecological and recreational cluster" Frumushka Nova "is being successfully implemented in Tarutino district. In addition, there are already some developments in the creation of a honey-nut cluster. Odessa Oblast State Administration is always ready to provide organizational and informational support to such initiatives. The state also provides many different opportunities for financial support of cooperatives and farms, "Ivan Petriv emphasized.

According to him, to date, initiatives have begun in the Odessa region to form 5 clusters, and the actual preconditions for the organization are 15 more cluster-like entities.

The participants then discussed the issues, approaches, development trends and promising areas for creating clusters in the rural area of the Odessa region, taking into account factors influencing the socio-economic and ecological situation of communities.

It should be noted that the project "Pilot Implementation of Agri-Ecological Clusters for Sustainable Development in Odesa Oblast" is being implemented with the support of the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development and the German International Cooperation Organization. His goal is to stimulate economic growth in depressed rural areas of the Odessa region by creating and promoting an agro-ecological cluster.

Recall that in the Odessa region the first Association of wine producers and winemakers in Ukraine was created within the framework of the EU Geographical Indication project.
