Over UAH 50 million of state subsidies are allocated for the construction or purchase of housing for orphans and children deprived of parental care. This became known during the teleconference meeting of the Odessa Regional State Administration with the heads of the RSA, cities and OTG.

"This is a great opportunity to provide housing for orphans and to develop family forms of education. This year Odesa region has the largest subvention in the country - amounting to almost 62 million hryvnia. At present, the oblast commission continues to accept, consider and approve applications. And the task on the ground - to form them and buy these objects. Thus, by the end of December we have to allocate another 11.7 million hryvnias ", - said deputy chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Serhii Koleboshin. He also appealed to the heads of districts with the task to accelerate work in this direction.

It should be noted that as of the beginning of December, the commission agreed to purchase eight objects for family-type orphanages and 74 residential facilities for orphans and persons from them. Almost seven million hryvnias from the allocated funds is directed at the construction of a small group building.

Earlier, the chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov stated that the provision of housing for orphans and children deprived of parental care is a priority of its activities. Thus, last year in the region 190 children-orphans and children deprived of parental care were provided with housing through financing from local budgets and state subsidies. This is the highest figure among the regions of Ukraine over the past year.
