The Odesa region is an attractive region with well-developed transport connections both in Ukraine and in the countries of Eastern Europe and Western Asia.

Currently, the practice of delaying ships at border crossing points at the request of the State Ecological Inspectorate of the Crimean Black Sea Region is continuing. This results in significant damage to the shipowners that are associated with the downtime of the vessel.

The purpose of the event was to establish a dialogue between various representatives of business, international law and insurance companies, agents, the public, journalists, as well as officials, heads of the State Environmental Inspectorate in the Odesa region, land and sea inspection.

“This is the first open dialogue in many years, the beginning of an era of cooperation and communication between the Odesa Regional State Administration and the State Environmental Inspectorate. The discussion process became a real communication which resulted in the elaboration and discussion of a number of problems that need to be solved in the near future. The general background is negative and needs real and prompt actions that will change the situation fundamentally, ”- said the Deputy Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration Denys Vanash.

Temporarily acting Head of the State Eco-Inspectorate Yehor Firsov, it was suggested that representatives of the heads of the respective territorial bodies submit an application for dismissal at their own request.

On which the refusal was received.

As a result, it was decided to create a working group comprising representatives of the RSA, lawyers, business and the public.

The working group will elaborate the relevant legal acts to develop the mechanism and rules of interaction between the AUCU, the State Ecological Inspection of the Crimean Black Sea District in the ports of Ukraine, businessmen and shipowners.
