First Deputy Head of Odesa Regional State Administration Vyacheslav Ovechkin met with the best athletes, coaches and specialists in the field of physical culture and sports in the Odesa region. The main heroes of the event were athletes who won licenses to participate in the 21st Summer Olympic Games and 16th Summer Paralympic Games. They will be held in 2020 in the capital of Japan - Tokyo.
10 participants received diplomas for sports activities. These are athletes, coaches and heads of sports organizations.
The first deputy head of the Odesa Regional State Administration stated that athletes will receive full support and attention from the authorities.
“The Cabinet of Ministers has already allocated 100 million hryvnias for the reconstruction of the Olympic athletics arena. Also, on the initiative of the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration Maksym Kutsyi, a monthly stipend of 20 thousand hryvnias for licensees of the Olympic and Paralympic Games is provided next year. In addition, the regional program has invested four million hryvnias for the prize winners of the competition in Tokyo, ”added Vyacheslav Ovechkin.
Also the head of the Odesa regional state administration Maksym Kutsyi received thanks for cooperation from sportsmen of area. The award was presented by Karate World Champion Anzhelika Terliuha and silver medalist at the International Grand Prix of Spain Vladlen Kozliuk.
