From 2019 inhabitants of remote settlements will be able to receive drugs under the state program "Available medicines" directly in medical institutions. This became known during a meeting on medical issues of the Odessa regional state administration. Appropriate changes to the regional program "Affordable Medicine" will be submitted to the regional council deputies for the upcoming session. After all, ensuring availability of these drugs is extremely necessary in those villages where there are no pharmacies.

"After personal communication with people living in rural areas, I decided - affordable medicines should be really accessible, in particular, at the place of residence. It is extremely important that people do not spend time and money on a trip for drugs guaranteed by the state. I hope the deputies will support these changes at the next session of the regional council ", - said the chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov.

It should be noted that such proposals are planned to be added to the regional program "Affordable Medicine" from 2019. It is proposed to direct two million hryvnias to the project implementation.

Therefore, the medical facility should have a minimum "basket" of drugs. Including from the list of the state program "Available medicines". They are prescribed for patients with cardiovascular disease, Type II diabetes or bronchial asthma. Currently, at the doctor's prescription, 59 preparations are completely free of charge according to the program, and another 202 can be obtained at a pharmacy with a partial surcharge.

"Retail trade will be carried out on the basis of an agreement with the communal enterprise" Odessaoblfarm ". Immediately in the premises of the ambulatory or paramedic and obstetric station. For this, the local authorities should provide a medical facility with a refrigerator and a cabinet for drugs, "explained Olena Teryaeva, Director of the Health Department of the Odessa Regional State Administration.

Recall also during the meeting, the head of the region Maxim Stepanov presented a new medical project - "Mobile Polyclinic". It provides for the diagnosis and provision of qualified counseling to the rural population of the region with the help of mobile polyclinics and, if necessary, telemedicine. The project is part of the reform of rural medicine, launched by President Petro Poroshenko in the Oknyansky district.
