The modern inclusive-resource center has been working in the city of Yuzhne, Odesa oblast. Here, rehabilitation and correction of the development of children with special educational needs aged 2 to 18 will be conducted.

"I can assure that this is one of the best inclusive-resource centers not only in our region, but also in Ukraine as a whole. And the equipment that is here, and the amount of repair work that has been performed. I am confident that it is by joint efforts that we must rebuild such social projects ", - said Sergey Koleboshin, deputy head of the Odessa regional state administration at the opening of the institution.

The center is equipped with places for physical education, psychological unloading, assessment and psychological and pedagogical assistance. In addition to the resource room, you can visit the offices of correctional teachers and practical psychologists. According to the results of the integrated assessment of the development of the child, the specialists of the center will provide assistance to her or send them to educational institutions.

In general, there are currently around 250 children with special educational needs in the South, who will be able to use the services of the Center of Excellence. The center is financed through an educational subvention, so its services are free of charge.

Sergey Koleboshin emphasized that local authorities can also apply individual decisions for organizing the space of the IRC. "The main thing is to integrate children whom we did not see on the streets, schools or kindergartens a few years ago. And they are and should be part of society, as we all ", - he said. Therefore, in addition to inclusive education, in the opinion of Sergei Koleboshin, it is worth developing the direction of mobile accessibility - adapted sidewalks, rooms and ramps.

It should be noted that in May 2018 the region joined the national project on the development of an inclusive educational environment. First Lady Marina Poroshenko and the head of the Regional State Administration Maksym Stepanov signed a memorandum on the establishment of a network of inclusive-resource centers (IRCs). Since then, 13 IRCs have been established in the districts, as well as the regional center for the support of inclusive education. Also in the region new groups for preschoolers, rooms for psychological unloading and media centers were opened.

Recall that the development of inclusive education - one of the key priorities of the Strategic Action Plan of the chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov "Intelligent Region". To provide ICT by specialists (speech therapists, surdo pedagogues) Maxim Stepanov proposed to introduce a free second education for teachers. Provided that they then, for example, will work in schools or KICs for five years.
