In the Mayaky village in the Odessa region, a new outpatient clinic of group practice and emergency medical services was opened. The facilities are located on the same site: the clinic - in the newly built premises, and the emergency department - in a completely renovated building.

"Today we opened the first of 29 rural clinics, which were designed in the Odessa region. In addition, there is also an emergency department. This is another step towards improving the quality of medical care regardless of where they live. Protecting people, their lives and health is one of the main responsibilities of the state ", - said at the opening of the chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov.

It should be noted that over 9.5 thousand inhabitants of the Mayakivskyi united territorial community live in the radius of service of the outpatient clinic: Mayakivska, Nadlymanske, Usdoba and adjacent country-side arrays.

The ambulance is designed for the work of four family doctors. In addition to their offices, there are manipulative, dressing and other auxiliary rooms. In general, a medical facility can take about 160 patients a day.

Maxim Stepanov stressed that the construction of the ambulatory department was carried out at the expense of the state and local budgets. "This is a vivid example of the decentralization reform, the reform of rural medicine. The synergy of financial resources has enabled us to build such a health center, "he said.

At the same time, the emergency department will serve not only Mayakovskaya OTG, but also Nikolaevka and victims of an accident at an almost 30-kilometer section of the Odesa-Reni highway and local roads. In addition, in the emergency department there is a station for the permanent provision of emergency medical aid brigade Bilyayevskaya station. "Due to this, the radius of service decreases, and thus, the time of arrival of the brigade to the place of call will be reduced from 30 to 20 minutes," - says the director of the Department of Health of the Odessa Regional State Administration Olena Teryaeva.

The emergency medical aid department consists of an ultrasound room, an X-ray unit, an intensive care room, and a manipulative unit. Physicians have a technical opportunity to consult online with specialists from the Odessa Regional Hospital through telemedicine. According to Olena Teryaeva, the department will be able to conduct the necessary examinations, stabilize the patient in a difficult condition and, if necessary, transfer it to the Belyaevsky CRP or the regional medical institution.

"Now the Odessa region is an example of how to build medicine. This reform should have 2 main factors: accessibility for patients and decent working conditions for health workers. Only together these factors will make medicine quality, "- said the head of the Regional State Administration Maxim Stepanov.

Recall Odessa region was the first in the country to begin the reform of rural medicine. The relevant law was signed by President Poroshenko during a working visit to the region on December 27, 2017.

The development of medicine is one of the priorities of the Strategic Action Plan of the chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maksym Stepanov "Intelligent Region" for 2017-2019 years. Thus, the emergency department together with telemedicine is currently working successfully in the Oknyansk and Bolgrad central district hospitals.
