The meeting of the Council for Regional Development began in Kyiv. On the agenda are global infrastructure projects and plans that are discussed by the leadership of oblasts, rayons and OTGs from around the country. The greetings to the participants were addressed by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

"Four years of gradual implementation of decentralization have proven its economic and political efficiency for communities and citizens, and I set the regional leaders the task of developing plans for the future development of the territories for 2019-2021, discussing and adopting them at the community level. Each territory should define its advantages and priorities", - stressed the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

It should be noted that the first panel discussion - Consolidation for Development - is continuing. It is devoted to issues of rule of law, Ukrainian army and identity.

The second part will focus on the implementation of infrastructure projects and local or regional success stories. Expected speech by the chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov.

Recall, the Council for Regional Development is an advisory body under the President of Ukraine. During a meeting in autumn 2017, the chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov presented a new concept of rural medicine, which has already proved effective in practice.
