A meeting of the Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration Serhii Koleboshin with the member of the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania Gintaras Steponawicius was held.

"We are always ready to develop. We are interested in the experience of the Republic of Lithuania in terms of working with the programs related to the "Icelandic model of education". In our country, reform of the education system is actively under way, so we have the goal of improving, changing and adopting the best practices of specialists who have undergone educational changes, "said Sergey Koleboshin.

During the meeting issues of further reform of the education system in Ukraine were discussed. Particular emphasis was placed on reforming and developing vocational education in Ukraine, raising its popularity ratings among young people, entering into contracts with employers and a decent level of remuneration for the corresponding professions.

Also, during the meeting, the problem of booting in educational institutions was discussed. Lithuania has made great progress in this direction; they have selected at the state level 20 of the most effective programs that work all over the world. Accordingly, each school chose for itself a model of the program for work and received financial support from the state for its introduction. In Ukraine, they are also ready to try to introduce appropriate programs, which include conducting trainings, first of all with teachers.

Gintaras Steponavicius noted that after the educational reform in Lithuania, the state began not only to control and point out the disadvantages of educational institutions, but rather to help and support in all processes that require changes and reforms. And due to this, those educational institutions that were considered not the best, came to a new quality level of education.

The deputy chairman stressed that in Odesa Oblast, the heads of several communities that are quite successful are ready to support and provide funding to improve the level of education in the community.
