Repair of the bridge near Palanka in the Odessa region is completed by 80%

Repair of the bridge on the international route M-15 Odesa - Reni near the Moldavian village Palanka is completed by 80%. All works and improvements are planned to be completed by the beginning of June. The chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov told about this in a social network.

"The bridge near the village of Palanka (Odessa-Reni highway) is almost ready! 80% of the work has already been completed. The Road Service plans to complete all construction and improvement before the beginning of June. The road built now can not replace the bridge through a smooth and specific ground ", - stressed the chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov.

Recall that on May 15, 2017, the chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov opened a temporary bypass on the M-15 Odesa-Reni (km 52 + 789) near the Moldovan village of Palanka. In connection with the emergency condition of the bridge, in December 2016, its major overhaul, which included the complete rebuilding of the facility, was commenced. After the bridge was closed, the only road left by which it was possible to travel from Odessa to the south and west of the Odessa region remained. She lay through Bilgorod-Dnistrovsky. All freight and light traffic forcedly passed through the city center, causing road damage and traffic jams. At the initiative of Maxim Stepanov and with the support of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, it was decided to build a bypass road through the territory of the Republic of Moldova for the period of capital repairs of the bridge.
