Life without limits: Nick Vuichich, a student of the Odessa region, made a speech
Australian motivational coach Nick Vuichic speaking to the students of the Odessa region. More than a thousand people came to meet with the world-famous speaker. The event was organized with the support of the chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov.
"You are the ones who change the world. When you look at any person who has done something good, then you know, everything started with her decision ... I like the concept of growing something: you sow seeds in the ground, pour water, put fertilizer (it does not smell good, but there is useful), and something grows up. One thing is, if we give food to 100 people, another thing is to teach a person how to grow food for herself. And the next level - when this person will create a school in which they teach others. And all those people who know how to grow food take the decision to change something. Each of them has its own "seed", and they give it to the poor and teach it. This is what keeps the country, it's the future. If you look at Ukraine, then it starts with decision and faith, "said Nick Vuichic.
The chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov said during the event that the meeting with Nick Vuichic is an opportunity for the youth of the Odessa region to stop hesitating and crush stereotypes that narrow the world to "black and white".
"I believe that it is your generation who has a huge potential for change. Because the modern world gives many opportunities, but sometimes it also creates barriers. It is very important to be able to overcome them and not reduce their own barriers that prevent them from moving forward. Today's meeting with Nick Vuichic is another opportunity to say "yes!" To the diversity of life, its prospects and challenges. And I am very pleased that we are changing. Finally, in our country, we refuse the phrase "limited capacity". Because the person is not limited by physical characteristics. It is limited by shortcuts, imperfect laws and the attitude of the environment. And ahead of this, of course, a lot of work. But we are inspired by examples of people like Nick Vuichich, "Maxim Stepanov said.
The event was also visited by the Commissioner for Children of Ukraine Mykola Kuleba.
Recall that in comparison with last year inclusive education coverage of children with special educational needs in the Odessa region has more than doubled. In the last year only 276 such classes were created. Also, the number of inclusive groups in pre-school establishments of the region has almost tripled.
