The World campaign "16 Days Against Violence" began in Odesa Oblast. On the first day, November 25, the Odessa Regional Administration building was highlighted in orange - a color that symbolizes the future without violence.

"Annually, on November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women is celebrated. The orange color this day is intended to draw everyone's attention to this problem. Surely, only together can we create a future in which there will be no place for violence. By December 10, educational events will be held in all districts of the Odessa region ", - said deputy chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Vitaliy Svichinsky.

Please note the following important dates within the "16 Days Against Violence" campaign: World AIDS Day (December 1) and International Day for the Suppression of Slavery (December 2).

Recall Ukraine joined this promotion in 2000. A year later, events and initiatives of the action took place already in 20 regions of Ukraine and united 75 all-Ukrainian public organizations and a wide range of representatives of state structures.
