Odessa airport starts cooperation with the airline Ryanair

Odessa airport will begin to receive Irish flywheel flights from Ryanair in the summer. The flights will be carried out in four directions: Krakow, Katowice, Wroclaw and Berlin. This became known during a joint press conference with the participation of representatives of the company, the city authorities, the airport "Odessa" and the deputy chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Svetlana Shatalova.

"Odessa airport became the fourth in Ukraine, which will serve flights of European low-cost airline Ryanair. For us, this is an additional opportunity to increase the flow of tourists to the region. Odesa region is diverse and ready to take guests in different periods of the year, because we have something to offer », - said the deputy chairman of the Odessa Regional State Administration Svitlana Shatalova.

It is planned that the air carrier Ryanair will provide about 60 thousand passengers per year in the Odessa region and will create 45 additional jobs. The first flights to Krakow will start from June. And from October - to Katowice, Wroclaw and Berlin.

"The Odessa region has a great tourist potential. And we are interested not only in flights of Ukrainians abroad, but also we want foreigners to discover new cities in Ukraine, "said Olga Pavlonka, director of marketing and sales in Central and Eastern Europe and the Balkans of Ryanair.

Recall that during 2018, the Odessa region visited more than 6.2 million tourists. The largest number of foreign guests came from Moldova, Israel, Romania, Byelorussia and Poland. This year it is planned that the region will visit about 6.7 million tourists.

Tourism development is one of the priorities of the Strategic Action Plan of the chairman of the Odessa Regional State Administration Maxim Stepanov "Intelligent Region".
