The RSA initiates the collection of proposals by winegrowers. She will address them to the Regional Council and the central authorities.

The Regional State Administration hosted a working meeting with the participation of the first Deputy Head of Regional State Administration Vyacheslav Ovechkin, Director of the Department of Economic Policy and Strategic Planning and representatives of the wine industry.

“The problem of declining winemaking is complex. However, I would like to emphasize some of its components. This is a loss of individual foreign markets, it is, in some cases, a poor quality of production, it is not a sufficiently developed internal market, there is a forgery, it is not a quality customs control over the import of products and security in this regard, domestic producers. The priority for us is to turn this trend into a positive one, ”Vyacheslav Ovechkin emphasized.

Representatives of the wine industry had the opportunity to talk about the problems of their work and to offer options for their solution.

"It is necessary to introduce modern world standards of quality and responsibility of winemakers for their violation. In addition, we should not promote individual companies, but the common national brand - our wine. And when it becomes a full-fledged competitor in the international market, it is then that winemaking will become a profitable and attractive business in Ukraine, ”said a representative of Bolgrad company, Volodymyr Maslenkov.

As a result of the meeting, it was decided by the end of January this year to receive from the growers appropriate proposals, which will submit for consideration by the central authorities and the Odesa Regional Council.
