The Odesa region together with the Republic of Armenia plan to develop cooperation in the field of tourism

Head of the Odessa Regional State Administration Maxim Stepanov met with the Consul General of the Republic of Armenia in Odessa Hayk Golyan. The parties discussed the possibility of developing cooperation, in particular, in the tourism sector.

"The Odessa region has close cultural ties with Armenia, a large Armenian community lives in the region. Positive dynamics is observed in the trade and economic sphere, in particular, it is about the growth of export of goods from the Odessa region to Armenia. I am sure that our region has great potential for the dynamic development of relations in many spheres, "said Maxim Stepanov, the chairman of the Odessa regional state administration.

In turn, the Consul General of the Republic of Armenia in Odessa, Hayk Gulyan, expressed the hope that cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Odessa region will be intensified also in the tourism sector.

"Armenia is called the open-air museum. At present, reforms are taking place in our country, new opportunities are opening up. And the tourist destination for us is also very important, because we consider Odesa region to be attractive in this area, "said Hayk Gulyan.

Chairman of the Regional State Administration Maksym Stepanov assured that the Odessa region is ready to develop bilateral cooperation in the tourism sector. In particular, green, recreational and gastronomic tourism.
