Odessa region presents its tourist routes at the international exhibition UITT-2019

Odessa region presents its tourist potential at the annual international exhibition UITT-2019 in Kiev. Visitors can find out about planned activities and various attractions in the districts: from holiday resorts to rural green tourism. This was reported by the head of the department of tourism, recreation and resorts of the Odessa Regional State Administration Oleksandr Shek.

"Our stand is presented in the form of a bus - a mobile information space. We invite you to various festivals and present our catalog. We also promote green rural tourism, we talk about excursions to the Farm-Museum "Svitlitsa Swallow" in Visirka and the ethnographic estate "At Melanie" in Tatarbunary, "Alexander Sheka emphasized.

This year more than 140 travel companies, tour operators, national and local tourist associations, hotels, transport agencies, as well as representations of 25 countries of the world became participants of the UITT. "Last year, during the exhibition with a booth of the Odessa region, more than five thousand visitors were introduced. In order to cover the tourist potential of the region, promotional tours for mass media of Ukraine were also held. As a result, the flow of tourists has grown significantly. We are waiting for new developments with various tourist organizations ", - he added.

Note that the international exhibition UITT-2019 will last until March 29. During the event, representatives of the tourism sector have the opportunity to exchange experience with foreign colleagues and partners in the field of promotion of countries and regions.

Recall that the development of tourism is one of the priorities of the Strategic Action Plan of the chairman of the Odessa Regional State Administration Maxim Stepanov "Intelligent Region". In particular, on his initiative in 2018, the natural territories of the Kuyalnitsky estuary were declared a resort of state importance. In addition, a nomination request for the inclusion of the Ackerman Fortress in the UNESCO World Heritage List was also addressed.
