Lists of residents at risk are most likely to be exposed to the coronavirus in the Odesa region. This was announced at a conference call with representatives of profile departments, heads of RDA, united territorial communities, mayors and doctors.

According to experts, it is necessary to coordinate the actions of the authorities at all levels. People aged over 60 will be at risk. Chronic diseases such as diabetes, respiratory and hypertension, cancer, HIV and tuberculosis will also be an important criterion. In addition, the Regional Health Department will provide guidance on how to protect medical personnel.

“Specialized teams of physicians are already forming, who will work part-time. In addition, social workers will be employed to monitor the situation in the region, providing targeted assistance to at-risk residents. I ask everyone to strictly follow the quarantine measures. In this way, we will be able to influence the rate of spread of the infection. Following the recommendations, the level of the disease will not exceed the critical parameters, ”- said Director of Health Department of the regional state administration Oksana Sorochan.

The day before Odesa received a special flight with medical supplies, rapid tests and PCR tests for the detection of coronavirus infection. In the near future, all health care facilities will be completed.
