Seaman Andriy Novychkov finally returned to Odessa after being in a jail in Iran. At present, all accusations of unintentional murder have been lifted. He thanked the President, Petro Poroshenko, and all those who made efforts to release him. This became known during a press conference by Andriy Novychkov.

"First of all, I thank our President for not leaving a desperate position. Thank you to all who helped by word or deed. Without this, I would not go home ", - said Andriy Novychkov, who for a long time was under investigation without the right to leave Iran.

It should be noted that at the end of 2018, the President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, signed a decree on Iran's pardon, Ali Djaudeya, previously convicted in Kharkiv for espionage in favor of the Islamic Republic. Such a diplomatic step allowed the exchange and release of an Odessa seaman from an Iranian prison where he was facing a death penalty. Prior to this, it became known that his grandmother sent about 900 letters and appeals to various instances.

In response to journalists' questions, Andrei Novychkov also told about the incident he was accused of murder and the conditions for his stay in prison. Now he plans to return to his work, and before that, he will restore the necessary documents.

Recall that on January 8, 2019, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko informed about the liberation of Andriy Novychkov.
