Chairman of the Odessa Regional State Administration Maxim Stepanov met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Israel to Ukraine, Joel Lyon. The parties discussed prospects of cooperation in the tourism and agricultural sectors, as well as in the IT sector.

"Thank you for the work you are doing to expand the relationship between Ukraine and Israel. Our goal is to open the Odesa region to the whole world. Tourism is one of the priorities for us now. In particular, our Kuyalnitsky liman has already received the status of a resort of state importance - the relevant law was recently signed by the President of Ukraine. We are currently preparing projects for its development. Also, the Odessa region can attract investors and businessmen from Israel in the field of agribusiness. We are always open to cooperation, and I am sure that we have a lot of common perspectives ", - said the chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov.

Maxim Stepanov handed to his guests copies of the tourist directory of Odessa region with detailed information about all types of tourism and routes in the region. He also stressed that the regional state administration is ready to provide all possible support to the Israeli side in the implementation of projects.

"There are several branches of Israeli IT-companies in the Odessa region, in which Ukrainian engineers work. So we get quality and skilled workers, and you do not have leakage of personnel. We are also members of an international program to support the agrarian sector operating in the Odessa region. I want to thank you for your cooperation in these areas and in promoting our initiatives, "said Joel Lyon, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Israel to Ukraine.

Recall that in late February, the head of the Odessa Regional State Administration Maxim Stepanov met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Georgia to Ukraine Gela Dumbadze. In particular, they discussed the development of bilateral relations and initiatives that are being implemented now.
