Maxim Stepanov: The year of the struggle - and our Kuyalnik got the status of a resort of state importance!
Natural areas of the Kuyalnitsky estuary are declared a resort of state importance. "For" the corresponding bill, initiated by the chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov, has voted 231 people's deputies.
"The year of the struggle - and from our Kuyalnik got the status of a resort of state importance! It was not easy. But the main thing - there is a result! Today's decision is not just a formality but a start for the development of a unique tourist pearl. The Kuyalnik is our Dead Sea, and we just have to use its unique capabilities, "said the head of the Regional State Administration Maxim Stepanov. He also thanked every MP who voted for this bill.
The deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, Anna Romanova, as co-author of the bill, also believes that Kuyalnik must strengthen the region's economy at the expense of the money spent by tourists during rest or treatment.
It should be noted that in the session hall of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the draft law # 8502 "On the declaration of the natural territories of the Kuyalnitsky estuary of the Odessa region as a resort of state importance" was supported. The regional deputy Maxim Stepanov addressed him to the leaders of parliamentary factions in April 2018. Already in early November, the initiative was unanimously supported by the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Family, Youth Policy, Sport and Tourism.
Recall that the adopted draft law will help protect the unique medical resources of health resorts and give impetus to the development of health tourism in the Odessa region. Also, the new status will allow potential investors to invest in the development of tourist infrastructure in this area.
