The movement of citizens through the territory, between the regions and at crossing the borders of the country is not limited to the introduction of martial law. This was stated by the chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov during a press briefing.

"There are no restrictions on the crossing of the border for our citizens. Just like moving within the country. If you plan to go on vacation, there is no reason to cancel it, "said Maxim Stepanov.

In response to journalists' questions, the region's head of state dismissed the announcement of the introduction of a curfew and a ban on entrepreneurial activities related to the sale of alcoholic beverages. The regional shareholder once again called on the inhabitants to use only official information.

"Odessa region has both a sea border and an overland - with Transnistria. Security measures are really tightened, but they are least likely to affect people's normal lives. Complete mobilization and termination of social payments is a complete nonsense. I would like to note that the Regional Defense Council was established in March 2017 in accordance with my order. It consists of heads of law-enforcement and military formations, "added the chairman of the Odessa regional state administration.

Recall that from now on the military state was introduced exclusively in the regions along the Russian border, along the Transnistrian section of the Ukrainian-Moldovan border and along the Azov and Black seas. This is a preventive measure, which enables to react more effectively to the threat from the Russian Federation and not to lose precious time at that.
