The head of the Odesa regional state administration Maksym Kutsyi got acquainted with readiness for opening of the ferry crossing "Orlivka - Isakcha".

"The transport corridor will connect Ukraine with Romania and turn the Odesa region and the Odesa-Reni route into one of the shortest routes to Europe in the south of our country. Thanks to the project, the border crossing time for trucks will be reduced by 10 hours. Drivers of 200 trucks and 500 cars will be able to use the ferry every day. The maximum capacity of passengers per day is about 1.5 thousand people, "- said Maksym Kutsyi.

The head of the regional state administration also noted that initially the checkpoint will work only for trucks. Eventually, the crossing will be open to all vehicles.

The project will contribute to the rapid growth of the economy of the border areas of Romania and Ukraine.

Maksym Kutsyi noted that this transport corridor will be as comfortable as possible for Ukrainians and foreign citizens.
