Within the framework of the "Mobile Polyclinic" project, free medical examinations of residents took place already in 25 settlements of the Odessa region. During this time, two teams of doctors examined more than 4,000 patients who were referred to a family doctor survey. In particular, today, specialists are conducting diagnostics of residents of Mykolaiv and Velikomikhaylivskyi districts.

"When we launched this project, there were a lot of difficulties and criticisms. It's not necessary, they say. But the result speaks for itself: usually at the reception come twice as many patients than were pre-recorded. During the work of mobile clinics for the first time, diagnoses were established for more than 500 patients. That is, people have learned about the disease at an early stage and will begin to be treated. So, on the contrary, we plan to expand the range of specialists who work on the outings and increase the number of such "ambulances", - said the head of the Odessa Regional State Administration Maxim Stepanov during a visit to Velikomikhaylivskyi district.

Today he got acquainted with the conditions of reception of patients in Velikomikhailivka. During the conversation with the people, the regional director emphasized that the project "Mobile Polyclinic" is a long-term one. Auto-ambulances will cover all areas of the oblast quarterly, changing settlements.

Due to mobile clinics, early detection of the most common nosologies in Ukraine, including cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus and bronchial asthma, is occurring. That is, timely diagnosis as a result helps to significantly increase the life expectancy of villagers.

Maxim Stepanov thanked the doctors who work as part of mobile policlinics, because their work often lasts overnight. In particular, each brigade includes such doctors as a cardiologist, an ophthalmologist, an endocrinologist, a gynecologist, a mammologist and an ultrasound specialist. Telemedicine is also used to diagnose. If necessary, the patient is referred for additional examination or treatment at the institutions of specialized medical care.

Since the beginning of the project, mobile clinic doctors have been conducting surveys in 11 districts of the region. Recording on diagnostics is formed in advance. For this you need to take a referral from your family doctor.

Recall, initiated "Mobile Polyclinic" chairman of the Odessa Regional State Administration Maxim Stepanov. The project is part of the reform of rural medicine, launched by President Petro Poroshenko. It is planned that during the first wave of reviews specialists will visit 75 settlements of the region and will examine about 20 thousand rural population.
