On the occasion of celebrating the 28th anniversary of Ukraine's Independence Day, the residents of Odessa and the guests of the city lined up in a live chain of embroideries. The Vyshivanka Festival is a business card of the city of Odessa, with no analogues. Acting Head of Regional State Administration Svetlana Shatalova and Deputy Head of Regional State Administration Vitaly Svichinsky participated in the event.

Duke de Richelieu monument was the first to put on patriotic clothing. Then all the people dressed in embroideries built a living chain from the Duke de Richelieu monument and made their way down the Potemkin Stairs, through the Maritime Station and to the sea.
