Delegation from Turkey arrived in Odessa region
The delegation included Erdogan Bektash, governor of the region, Omer Selim Alan, the mayor of Zonguldak, and Metin Demir, chairman of the Zonguldak Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The two sides discussed the investment and economic potential of our region. Zonguldak is one of the ten most economically developed regions of Turkey: it produces coal and produces ferrous metal on an industrial scale.
“The Odessa region can become a convenient hub for the Turkish industry. Our ports are ready to accept daily shipments from the Turkish province. It can then be transported to our businesses or countries in Europe by rail and road. We can also deliver grain and other Ukrainian products to Zonguldak port. This will stimulate the deepening of economic relations between the two regions, ”said the Head of the Odessa Regional State Administration Maxim Kutsy.
During the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Zanguldak, Eregli, Derek and the regional representation of the Ukrainian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce in Odessa region.
